Thought I'd introduce myself. I just jumped into the online platform for the first time this evening. I'm impressed and just got really excited. I'm a flower farmer in Arvada, CO (nestled between Denver and Boulder), specializing in growing unique varieties of lavender as well as old fashioned cutting favorites. I have a graphic design background but haven't arranged formally other than market bouquets for my CSA members. Hoping to tip toe through the tulips (haha!) right into the world of wedding flowers. Hi there, I'm Alex. I just moved to Southern California from Portland, OR but I am originally from Houston, TX. I used to think growing up that I was going to change the world, and leave it a more beautiful place. So, I quit my corporate job 2 years after I graduated university. Since then, I've been exploring my creativity through various mediums searching for significance; I've been a "mixologist", yoga instructor, then florist assistant. I learned that I simply want to create beautiful things for other people to enjoy. I found myself an event in Portland that Katie was speaking at by chance, and she's the first person that made me feel like you can change the world by simply expressing your creative being/self and sharing your beauty, however that may be. Anyways, I'm so happy to be here and grow with you all.
